Getting to our favorite sunscreen for kids took some time. Ages ago. I really mean that, it’s got to be like 4 months ago ( sorry guys) some lovely people at Mustela UK sent us some sunscreen for kids. Well we are professionals over here, Oscar Chang and I, so we took our job as official Mustela reviewers very seriously. After living in Thailand we have used a fair amount of different baby sunscreens but this product was totally new to us. So on our latest adventures in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras we spent inordinate amounts of time

AND LAGOONS
SEARCHING FOR DOLPHINS
PETTING TURTLES
WE EVEN CLIMBED A VOLCANO FOR PETES SAKE!
And all this so we could tell you IT WORKS! I know it’s a tough job but someone had to do it.
Our top product was the Mustela Factor 50 + very high protection lotion.
Both Oscar Chang and myself are lucky and have olive skin which tans easily. Oscar is mixed Asian and European so his skin can tend to be a bit more sensitive to products. We are both very careful in the sun though and I in particular like to wear an SPF on my face rain or shine. We went full force here though arriving from a cold European winter to the harsh sunshine of the Mexican Pacific coast. We spent a lot of time getting pretty sandy and sweaty at the beach and we didn’t burn once. I loved how light this product was, so much so that I actually used it on my face a few times when I ran out of my regular faceblock. The light texture of Mustela sunscreen for kids also means that every grain of sand doesn’t stick to you either, which is a blessed relief because that drives me crazy. I did re apply this product several times during the day as Oscar is very active and I always think better safe then sorry. Love the clean smell and had no problems washing it out of some T-shirts too. All in all A+ product that I have already bought for myself again in Mexico. It may have taken us a while to get to telling you all about it but you can’t say we weren’t thorough!
